SWIFT Conference Privacy Statement

We do not automatically gather any personal information from you.  This information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via mail, e-mail, fax, telephone, or completing a registration form.

To register, we require your name, name of organization, title, mailing addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, payment information, and where applicable, your credit card information.

 

The above-noted information is collected for the following purposes: to make arrangements with other parties for you to participate in the conference, to contact you about conference related information and to process and verify your payment. IMPACT EVENTS will erase this information from their files within 90 days after the conference and therefore, will no longer have custody and control of your personal information. IMPACT EVENTS does not process payment information or credit card information and thus you release Impact Events from liability or penalties for any misuse of this information by other parties. Paypal is authorized to process all registrants’ payments and retain your personal information, payment or credit information for purposes described at www.paypal.com.

 

SWIFT Association (SWIFT), the host of the SWIFT Conference, respectfully request your consent to use business contact information collected at registration. This information will be used for the purpose of communicating information about future SWIFT conferences. Consent to this collection is a professional courtesy extended to registrants of the current SWIFT Conference. Disclosure of “business contact information” is not personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, SA 2003 c. p-6.5 and does not require consent for its collection.

 

IMPACT EVENTS will not sell, lease, transfer or trade personal information within the 90-day retention period without the consent of the registrant. IMPACT EVENTS’ privacy policy is available by sending an inquiry to this e-mail address: laureld@impacteventsltd.ca

 

Registrants are hereby notified that while reasonable precautions and efforts are made by IMPACT EVENTS and SWIFT ASSOCIATION to secure the privacy of personal information, the security of on-line registration is vulnerable and the information collected therein, may be viewed by unauthorized parties. Your on-line registration is an acceptance of this risk, and, an acknowledgement and release from liability saving IMPACT EVENTS and SWIFT ASSOCIATION harmless for any misuse of your personal information by other parties. The web site server may use software that receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted our Web site.  We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site.

 

We do not use "cookies" to track how our visitors use the site.
